Nurse Jackie is a Chicago RN, Yoga Instructor, Nurse Educator, and student on her way to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. After not getting into Medical School, Nurse Jackie found her purpose. As a nurse educator, she is extremely well versed in the medical field. This interview has something for everyone!

Lighthouse Medical Missions
In 1998 the first Lighthouse team went to The Gambia, Western Africa. The needs of the people were clear immediately, but their warmth and appreciation were evident as well. This made an impact on the hearts of volunteers and their relationships with the African people has kept them coming back.

Kigali Health Institute
The shortage of some health workers that Rwanda has faced in the last decade or so is largely traced to the 1994 genocide against Tutsi. Many health professionals were killed while others fled the country.
