The number one cause of line of duty death among first responders is suicide. As a firefighter himself Sean knows all too well the high stress environment, the sleep deprivation, and the long shifts that first responders face. He created Functional Hero to combat the breakdown of the first responder's vessel, through strategic physical implication of recovery and biohacking practices. Bethel University

Team volunteers from Bethel University consisted of a medical doctor, who is the Dean of the College of Health Sciences, a professor of nursing, a pharmacist and seventeen Nursing and PA students. Once they arrived in Belize, they traveled aboard a school bus down to the Toledo district, which is in the southern portion of the country arriving late that evening.

Barnhem Muang Mai Mission

Barnhem opened in February 2005 and initially focused on helping tsunami victims. All of those have been able to move out and today Barnhem is not disaster victim oriented – many people in Thailand were already poor and exposed before the flood waves. Today Barnhem houses children for many different reasons. Many have lost one or both, of their parents; others are here because they lack a family member or relative to care for them - or their relatives lack the strength to do so.
