MEDICAL MISSION

Sean O'Shea Foundation

USA

Yoga in the US was becoming somewhat familiar in the 1960's and by the late 1990's yoga was becoming popular, and by 2000 yoga and mindful programs were being introduced in schools. Today, we are finding yoga and mindful programs in schools throughout the US. Sean O'Shea started teaching yoga and character building to at-risk kids in school back in 2001.

Since Sean's early passing in December of 2006, we have offered Yoga, mindful practices and nutrition to over 12,000 at-risk youth, continuing with Sean's vision to help low-income communities and teach the tools for emotional stability, and increasing self-control that allows the kids to see their greatest potential. We now reach 1200-1500 at-risk kids in school every semester, triple the number from last year. Yes, we are doing the impossible with our small budget and this budget will not carry our expenses for the kids programs or our growth. We need the community to invest in the kids of the future by supporting our work, our cause and Sean's vision.

WELCOME TO THE NEW SCHOOL. LET'S ROLL
