Catapult for a Healthy Homeland in Haiti

Mission Haiti Medical is an organization started in January 1993, currently led by Mark Fulton and his wife Kathy Fulton. This organization strives to volunteer their knowledge and medical resources to Haiti, seeking to empower the local people to create their own sustainable hospital for their community.

Ever since the hospital opened in July of 2005 , they have experienced nothing but growth. The hospital includes a “dental clinic, eye clinic, two operating rooms, pharmacy, lab and a prosthetics unit”.A big disadvantage to living in rural Haiti is that locals struggle to reach the medical attention they need. Commuting to the closest hospital in Port Au Prince can be dangerous, too far or simply not an option. Having the ability to access healthcare has been a true blessing for the community, and the hospital is committed to providing it at an affordable price.

MDF donated stethoscopes for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients with the help of Mark’s outreach to us this year. As their hospital grows stronger, following more patients seen and a larger staff, there is nothing this organization is unable to accomplish.
