Looking Back (and forward) with International Medical Corps
Each year International Medical Corp rushes to the front lines, committed to being first responders to the world's most crucial disasters. With a focus on healthcare, nutrition, shelter and protective services they seek out humanitarian disasters and rush to the scene, dedicated to those affected and providing relief.

As part of our Crafting Wellness initiative, MDF Instruments has partnered with IMC, donating more than 2,000 medical instruments over the past couple years. We're honored to provide our stethoscopes, sphygmomanometers, reflex hammers and penlights to IMC first responders.
Here's what IMC and MDF have been up to in 2021, a year where we learned to appreciate health more than ever.
In 2022 International Medical Corps plans to continue their worldwide services, as well as expand their programs in the United States. IMC states their initiative will be "strengthening existing healthcare systems by providing equipment, supplies, clinicians and training," with efforts focused on "services to marginalized groups and underserved communities ensuring adequate access to timely and critically needed health services."
From the MDF Instruments family, we hope to continue our partnership with IMC and many more organizations, because we truly believe that together we can do more, and do what's right to increase wellness in the world. IN HONOR OF OUR WELLNESS HEROES
Bethel University
Team volunteers from Bethel University consisted of a medical doctor, who is the Dean of the College of Health Sciences, a professor of nursing, a pharmacist and seventeen Nursing and PA students. Once they arrived in Belize, they traveled aboard a school bus down to the Toledo district, which is in the southern portion of the country arriving late that evening.

Be Like Brit
In many ways she was a typical teenage girl but her humor, passion and deep sense of caring for those less fortunate made Britney Gengel memorable to all who met her. It was her compassion for others that brought Brit to Haiti, just a day before a catastrophic earthquake that claimed an estimated 230,000 lives rocked the small, poverty stricken country.

Barnhem Muang Mai Mission
Barnhem opened in February 2005 and initially focused on helping tsunami victims. All of those have been able to move out and today Barnhem is not disaster victim oriented – many people in Thailand were already poor and exposed before the flood waves. Today Barnhem houses children for many different reasons. Many have lost one or both, of their parents; others are here because they lack a family member or relative to care for them - or their relatives lack the strength to do so.
