Central to the mission of the Friends of Fort Liberte is to care for the sick. For many years, visiting medical teams would set up a temporary clinic in school rooms and face desperate needs for just a week or two each year. The dream of bringing access to year round healthcare to the community was realized in 2004, with the construction of the Eben-Ezer Clinic. Now, patients gather for prayer and singing each morning as the clinic opens, staffed by two Haitian nurses and a part-time doctor. Several medical mission teams visit the clinic each year, providing much needed supplies and services.
