MEDICAL MISSION

Chamberlain College of Nursing

kenya

Each year, students and faculty from Chamberlain College of Nursing partner with Family Hope Charity Trust, to provide medical care to the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya and the village of Masai. The trip is a humanitarian immersion experience, where a group of students, doctors, dentists, nurses and local volunteers work as a team to provide health promotion and disease prevention activities in collaboration with Kenyan medical personnel. Through their efforts the team seeks to deepen their understanding of international cultures, exchange health views, education, tools and resources for the Kenyan citizens to continue to advance their own healthcare systems.
