The message of Barnabas Task is the transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We desire to be people of influence with a significant message of Christ the Center.
EQUIP: Through training and serving, our goal is to assist people with problem solving, providing simple transferrable principles and resource assessment which result in multiplication and change in other communities through local initiative. We facilitate medical and training teams who provide critical care and preventive health education. By giving people the tools they need to rise up from poverty and strengthen the health and prosperity of their community and families, Barnabas Task establishes long-term relationships.
EMPOWER : We seek to empower people and communities, focusing on long-term development rather than recurring relief.
ENCOURAGE: We desire to influence through just relationships with those that have need and in so doing encourage community development. We work to encourage and empower local leadership in order to fulfill the mission and purpose that they have. We come along side local ministries and activities to fuel Kingdom thinking. Through relationship and prayer, we build upon the strengths in the community, honoring local leadership. Barnabas Task is the storyteller of others. We encourage their story being told.
We initiate self-sustaining programs to enhance the dignity of people created in God's image, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own futures. We incorporate training utilizing Community Health Evangelism principles.
