How to disinfect A stethoscope

To provide accurate auscultation, listen under the gown, providing trauma informed care but disinfect between patient use. To disinfect your stethoscope chestpiece, including the diaphragm and retaining ring that make patient contact, use 70% isopropyl prep pads to wipe clean. We recommend using 70% isopropyl to clean the metal parts of the stethoscope, including the chestpiece and headset. How to Find Your Stethoscope's Serial Number
To find your MDF Instruments® stethoscope serial number look for seven characters printed on the stethoscope chess piece. This should be a letter followed by a six digit number. For the 797X unscrew the chest piece to find the serial number. For the 767X you can find the serial number in the middle barrel.
